Notifications: Week of June 3rd, 2024

Performance Date: Friday June 14th, 2024 7pm - 9pm

CREATIVE BRIEF:

Celebrate Pride with us at 40 West Arts! In addition to our CommUNITY exhibition, we will be a variety show for LGBTQIA+ folks to participate in. All performance art considered. Is there a song, acoustic music, drag performance, skit, comedy, poem, spoken word, or talk on Queer history you’ve been meaning to find space for? Each artist will have 3-5 minutes to perform, artists of all levels of experience encouraged to participate. Performance artists may and are encouraged to accept tips during your performance.

SCREENING PROCESS

Submissions will be screened by a panel, including 40 West Arts staff and invited guest jurors. Please note that depending on the number of submissions, our curation process, and other factors, not all submitted performances are guaranteed entrance into our show. We will notify you within the timeframe indicated herein regarding the acceptance of your performance.

Also note that we do not tolerate submissions that promote hate, racism or violence against others. We reserve the right to refuse any submission that does not adhere to or promote our mission. We value your artistic expression, but please be aware that our space is multi-generational, family-friendly, and we have visitors from all walks of life.

ELIGIBILITY
