40 West Arts Kicks off 2012 season with discounted memberships!

40 West Arts is pleased to offer special membership savings in 2012, its first full year of serving the community.  We have an exciting calendar, aligned to our mission to serve our community by creating community arts spaces and community arts events that support the arts, artists, and arts organizations throughout the region.

ARTS ALONG COLFAX Has Started!

The “Arts Along Colfax” Program is a 40 West Arts initiative that places private art on display inside public businesses along West Colfax in Lakewood. This program will showcase local and regional artists and encourage public dialogue, understanding and enjoyment of the visual arts. The program’s goal is to build a foundation of the Arts as a fundamental part of the fabric within the 40 West Arts district while providing a meaningful opportunity for businesses, artists and art lovers in the area to connect. Planning

We are planning 2012 and dreaming about exciting future possibilities.

• We're launching the Arts Along Colfax program, matching up local artists with local businesses to display art, in the first quarter.
• In June, we'll offer several educational and entertaining events as part of INSPIRE week, a weeklong celebration of the arts in Lakewood.
• Stay tuned for more - we'll share info here on the website, our Facebook page and the monthly newsletter. As we plan for the future, we're also starting some links for inspiration.

Who We Are

We are artists, neighbors, business owners and students who believe the Arts enrich our lives and have come together at the intersection of the arts, historic neighborhoods, a new light rail station, a famous avenue, and a vibrant Arts College. Working with local entrepreneurs and civic leaders, we will manifest a shared vision of enhancing our community through the work, creativity and fun of an arts district.
