Call for Creative Programming: 40 West Arts District

40 West Arts is seeking proposals from creatives of all genres to organize and lead unusual, fun, imaginative, all-ages friendly programming to be hosted in the 40 West Arts District during First Fridays or other times. Think quirky, multi-sensory, experiential, high contrast stimuli, hands-on and/or surprise & delight.

The goal is to engage our community in arts experiences that foster creativity, community, vibrancy and exploration. Programming could include workshops, performances, creative games, pop-up experiences, installations, and more! Applicants should consider the 40 West Arts values of community, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and connection.

Chosen applicants will receive a $500 stipend for your activation, inclusive of all materials, time, logistics, etc.

To apply, fill out the google form application, there is an open submission deadline and you will hear within 30 days of your submission if your proposal has been accepted. If your project is more detailed and expansive than a $500 stipend can cover, we encourage you to submit anyway! Just explain to us in your summary what stipend you are requesting and why additional money is needed.
