40 West Arts, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, is all about the arts—arts of all kind—and the energy and inspiration of creativity. 40 West Arts is an arts district with a dozen galleries (and growing), multiple performing arts venues, more than 20 public art installations, and a variety of restaurants, cafés, diners, and pubs. 40 West Arts also operates a gallery that serves as a creative hub for its 100+ artist members and a gathering place for the community. Our mission is simple and focused: 40 West Arts exists to enrich the community and enhance the creative, cultural and economic vitality of the historic West Colfax Corridor by creating community arts spaces and community arts events and by supporting creative enterprises and activities in the district.
