40 West Arts is focused on delivering direct, positive impact to help catalyze the resurgence of the West Colfax Corridor—the historic heart of Lakewood—through arts & culture and the energy of creative enterprises. (Read more at About.)

WE DID IT!! The Artspace Proposal Was Approved by City
April 13, City Council chambers erupted
in applause when the votes were cast. Artspace was approved by a
unanimous vote. Thank you so very much to everyone who supported this
effort. We will certainly share more information about Artspace and the
pre-development process as it unfolds. In the meantime, we can revel in
the fact that Artspace has 39 projects across the country—and that once
they reach a pre-development agreement with a partner, they have ALWAYS
delivered a project. They are 39 for 39—a 100% success rate. Spread the
word—Artspace is coming to Lakewood! Learn more about Artspace.
Congratulations to 40 West Arts!
Bill Marino, chairman of 40W was honored with the John Madden, Jr. Leadership Award from the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA) at the Business for the Arts Awards luncheon, hosting over 700 people in March, 2015. This award was presented to Bill Marino for his influence in the creation and development of the Lakewood–West Colfax creative corridor and of 40 West Arts. This signature Colorado event began nearly thirty years ago as a way to salute exemplary arts and business partnerships across Colorado. This is an incredible accomplishment for 40 West Arts. Congratulations to Bill Marino and every volunteer who has supported 40 West along the way. We look forward to what is on the horizon!
