40W Comprehensive Placemaking Initiative 2015


40 West Arts and its members and volunteers are embarking on a comprehensive Place-Making Initiative. This expanded initiative kicked off in 2015 with stakeholder planning meeting to develop a plan designed to visually differentiate 40 West Arts District from the corridor at large in a thoughtful, well-integrated, and compelling way. Now, in 2016, the initiative will involve coordination with new and existing business and property owners and include branding elements, placement of public art in traditional and non-traditional locations, way-finding signage, pedestrian and cyclist amenities, and programmed public gathering spaces. Learn more.
